The Teachers
Allie Berger, Co-Founder of Musicians Institute Australia, researched education in Japan as part of her university degree. She has extensive teaching experience and expertise in teaching and teacher training, served for many years as the principal of a small independent school and developed the organisational structures for education and training organisations.
Phianne Berger studied violin from an early age, and later with Shinichi Suzuki 1986-90, graduating from the Violin Teacher Course at the Suzuki Institute, Matsumoto, in 1990. She taught violin at Musicians Institute Australia for many years and has extensive experience with students of all levels.
John Berger, Founder of Teach Suzuki Violin, began teaching violin in 1981. He learned music from an early age, studied at the University of Western Australia and later in Japan 1986-90 with Shinichi Suzuki, graduating from the Violin Teacher Course in 1990. After leaving Japan, he taught violin in the UK before returning to Australia to found Musicians Institute Australia.
